Support here is the two people who build Coffee360 — real humans, weekdays, US Central. Most answers are below; new to the whole idea? Start with how a coffee run works.

Do I need an account or the app to join a run?

No. If someone sent you a Coffee360 link, just tap it: pick your drink, you're in. No app to install, no account, no sign-up wall — that's by design. Creating an account (for saving your usual, or starting your own runs) is currently invite-gated while we're in beta, but joining a run never is. If you got a link, it works.

Why can't I create an account? (the beta)

Coffee360 is in a small friends-and-family beta, keyed to a few US area codes while the two of us make sure it's solid. If sign-up turned you away, you're not doing anything wrong — you're just early. Join the waitlist and we'll open your area as the list grows (that's literally how we pick what opens next). Meanwhile: a friend's run invite works without an account — see above.

My sign-in code never arrived

Texts are usually instant, but carriers sometimes slow-walk or filter them. In order: double-check the phone number you entered; wait a minute; use Resend (the screen shows when it's available). Still nothing after a couple of resends? Sign in with email or Google instead — they're full sign-in options, not a workaround. (You only ever need a phone number on the account that starts and coordinates runs.)

"Too many attempts" when requesting codes

We cap how many codes can be requested in a row — it protects your number from someone hammering it. The screen shows exactly how long until you can try again. You don't have to wait, though: email or Google sign-in works right now, no code required.
A few different things can be behind this, and the screen will say which:
  • “Run not found” — join codes are easy to mistype. Check it character-by-character, or tap the link instead of typing.
  • “This run has ended” — the run wrapped before you got there. If you'd already ordered and want your details, use order lookup. Otherwise: catch the next one.
  • “This link is no longer active” — links can expire or be replaced. Ask whoever invited you for a fresh one; it takes them two taps.
  • “Something went wrong on our end” — that one's us. Retry usually clears it. If it keeps failing, the run may have ended.

How do I know who owes what?

Open the run's settle screen: it shows the math item by item, person by person, under whichever setup the coordinator chose — pay for your own items, split evenly, or their treat. (Some runs skip payment tracking entirely — then there's genuinely nothing owed, and the screen says so.) If a total looks off, check the line items first: the answer is almost always visible right there. If the math itself looks wrong — that we absolutely want to hear about: hello@coffee360.org.

Does Coffee360 hold or move the money?

Never — and it's the most deliberate decision in the whole app. Coffee360 does the math; you pay each other directly, using whatever your crew already uses: Venmo, Cash App, cash on the desk. There's no wallet, no balance, no processing, no cut, and we can't collect, refund, or take sides on money between friends — we never touch it. The one thing we ever charge for is an optional membership, and it has nothing to do with run money. The two of us explain why →

The run I joined hasn't moved in a while

Runs are driven by the coordinator — only they can lock, order, settle, or cancel, and Coffee360 never auto-advances someone's run. If yours has gone quiet, nudge the person who started it (they may just be in line at the cafe). If it never wraps, nothing bad happens: nothing is owed through the app, nobody is charged, and your order details stay reachable via order lookup.

How do I see my order after the run ends?

You don't need an account for this. From the run's wrap-up screen (or your order confirmation), request your order details — we'll email you a one-time link that shows your order. One-time is on purpose: it's your order, and the link can't be reused or passed around. If the run screen is already gone, whoever coordinated can still see the run summary and read you the details the old-fashioned way.

How do I delete my account?

Self-serve, right now: Profile → Delete account, or go directly to coffee360.org/account/delete. You'll confirm and re-verify it's you, and then it's done — deletion is irreversible.

What happens: your account, phone, email, name, birthday, and favorites are erased immediately. If you're in a run that's still in motion, your name comes off it but the order math stays intact (so your coordinator isn't left with broken totals); once a run has fully ended, your entries are removed from it. Runs you were coordinating are canceled first.

If any step can't finish, the screen gives you a reference code — email privacy@coffee360.org with that code and a human completes it, within 30 days at the absolute outside (usually far faster).

Will Coffee360 text or notify me — or my friends?

Text messages: the only one the platform ever sends is a sign-in code you asked for. Every run message — the invite, the “last call,” the settle-up — is sent from the coordinator's own phone, in their own voice; Coffee360 just pre-fills the text so nobody retypes six orders. We can't text your contacts, and your contact list is never our growth channel.

Push notifications: these we do send — and they go to your friends too, if they're in the run. If you've allowed notifications, Coffee360 alerts you about runs you have actually joined: the coordinator called last call, the run is settling. That's the point of them. Being invited notifies you of nothing — an invitation reaches you as a message from the coordinator's own phone, and we don't look up whether the number they typed has an account here. They only ever go to people already in the run, never to your wider contacts, and you choose — allow or deny at the system prompt, change it any time in your phone's settings, or set your alert preference in Coffee360.

Email: only when you ask for it — the one-time link that shows your order after a run ends. No newsletters, no drip campaigns.

Contact & what to expect

Coffee360 is two people, and support is as small as that sounds. We'd rather tell you what's true than post hours we can't keep.

We read everything that comes in. We're not staffed around the clock — there's no on-call rota and no overnight desk — so a reply can take a few days, and longer at weekends. If something is broken, say so in the subject line; that jumps the queue.

We use software to help us sort the inbox and draft replies — that's how two people keep up at all, and we'd rather say so than pretend otherwise. But there's a line we don't cross: nothing about your account, your data, or money is decided or sent by an automated system without a human reading it first.

Things we genuinely can't do (not won't — can't, by design):

  • Collect, refund, or arbitrate money between friends — we never touch it.
  • Fix a cafe's order mistakes — Coffee360 never places the order.
  • Troubleshoot Venmo / Cash App / Zelle — those are your accounts with those apps.
  • Discuss anyone else's account — only ever your own, from the email or sign-in on it. No exceptions, even for family.
  • Live chat, phone support, or answers by text message.
